Adobe Animate

This week we learn about Adobe Animate. This was my first time to learn Adobe Animate.

Before the class, I didn't know anything about Adobe Animate, even though how it's looked like and where the button is. Therefore, before we created a picture, we learned about the button and also the timeline.

Our lecturer taught us how to insert the frame, so that we can draw the picture in the time that we select. Then, we learned about the principle of animation which are pose to pose and straight ahead. These two principle could be used when using Adobe Animation to create a movement.

a) Pose to pose

- draw the key poses first, then insert the pose between them

- good to use when you would like to draw a movement and action

b) Straight ahead

- straight away draw the whole action/movement

- good to use when drawing fire , smoke

Next, we learned about keyframe, blank keyframe to create a ball that was moving and a leaf that was flying. Our lecturer showed us the step and the tips of drawing the objects. For example, the leaf will fly when there was wind blow it. The leaf will not fly in a straight line, so we need to drew the direction of the leaf flying. Our lecturer used a line to draw the direction She marked down some parts to show the place of key positions. Then, she drew the leaf. By using the pose to pose principle, she drew the key position first. After that, she insert the poses between them.

Other than using pose to pose principle, our lecturer had shown us about straight ahead principle as well. When we are learning about these, she mention that more frame will create a slower movement and less frame will create faster movement. We could apply this mindset when we create the flying leaf.

I tried to do a same movement after our lecturer taught us. I was using the same technique to drew it.

This was what I created.

We learned about symbol, classic tween, and motion tween as well. By creating symbol could help us a lot when we would like to create a scene with same drawings. For example, birds flying in the sky.

After the class, I tried to find some video on YouTube to learn more about symbol. There were many video about this topic. I chose one of them and try to create a movement with symbol and motion tween/classic tween.

Tutorial

For my assignment, I showed the story board to my lecturer. She confirm my idea, and the all the scenes that I created. She said that, I could start drawing the animation. Then, she asked me to start working on the other project, which is exploring bread.
