Interim (Project 3&4)

We were having interim this Friday. We were asked to present about our project 3 and four which is everything connect and portfolio.Each of us had done a presentation slide and we will present one by one. Mr Ryan and Ms SueJane were the lecturers who will give us feedback and suggestions after we presented.

Everything Connect

For Everything Connect, I chose the topic consumerism and online shopping. I would like to do about the relationship between consumerism, online advertisement and online shopping. The reason why I wanted to link these three topics together was because online ads will affect people to do online shopping and this will cause consumerism took place. I had research about the reasons why and how online ads affect people do online shopping. Not only that, I had also did research about how online shopping will cause consumerism.

For example, online ads will attract people's attention, so they may click the link and went to check the product. If the store was doing promotion, then the people may purchase immediately. They did not want to miss the promotion. OR they may buy more and more products to get the promotion. They think this action could help them to save money. They may not need these products, but they will still purchase for it. This was how people buy a lot of products online and consumerism took place.

Feedback and suggestion:

- there are many reasons/aspects will affect people do online shopping and cause consumerism, such as customers' review, technologies, and so on

- can just focus on online shopping, need not mention consumerism in a2 size paper, because online shopping already include consumerism

- try to do more research on online shopping topic, find another reasons that affect people do online shopping

Portfolio

The theme for my portfolio is Asian Hot Pot. I am a person who like to enjoy delicious food. Whenever I felt sad, I would like to eat some food. After eating, I will happy and have more energy. Asian Hot Pot is one of my favourite food. There are many different type of soup base are available when you are eating Asian Hot Pot. For example, Sichuan Spicy, mushroom soup, tomato soup, and so on.

I use different soup base to represent me as a designer. And also, I will link each soup base for an artwork, and each soup base have a manifesto. The soup bae that I choose are:

a) Sichuan spicy; artwork - Xiao; manifesto - Shut and listen

b) Tomato; artwork - I have a black dog; manifesto - stay true on yourself

c) Laksa; artwork - Eco Park; manifesto - I am special

d) Tom yam; artwork - Me Project; manifesto - Keep challenging

Feedback and suggestion:

- interesting topic and theme

- the name of soup base can be change into some descriptive word, such as: Sichuan spicy - spicy and numb
