This week, we have no class on Friday, but we are asked to answer some question which our lecturer have posted on the Blackboard.
Questionnaire 1. Based on the presentation and work from Part 1, what aspect of your work do you feel needs improvement?
Based on the presentation and work from Part 1, I think I could improve my skill of drawing and design. This is because I could feel that my infographic is not really attractive and my message couldn't convey by it clearly. Not only that, I think I could improve my presentation skill as well. I should arrange my time during the presentation so that I could finish my presentation on time. I should also explain my progress and research more. This could help me to let my audience understand my progress and the ideas of my design.
2. What are your initial ideas for the outcome of your envisioned information pieces?
The initial ideas for the outcome of my envisioned information pieces is making the sculpture to show my research and data which I have done in T&T part 1 subject. I plan to make the scuplture that can show the type of gays. And I would like to have some interaction with my audiences, so I will ask my audience to vote the type they like and the type are if they gay. \
3. What design processes excite you and why? (e.g. Silk-screening, 3D Modelling/Printing, Printmaking, AR/VR, Coding, Woodcarving, laser cutting, embroidery, Sculpture, Video editing, animation etc... These are just examples if you have others that is not listed here please feel free to put it down and elaborate)
The design processs which can make me feel excited are the 3D Modelling, AR/VR and sculpture. I haven't try to do AR/VR before, so I'm curious about it. In fact, I am plan to do a 3D sculpture in T&T part 2 subject. Therefore, I'm very excited to join the workshop which was about the 3D modelling and sculpture. From what I have learn in my foundation, I just learn little information bout the 3D modelling as well as to do a sculpture by using paper clay. However, I knew that there are still have many other way could help me to make a sculpture, so I would like to learn more about it.
4. What don’t you know but need to for your project? a. What skills might you need to develop?
b. What other information might you need?
c. How might you acquire these skills or requirements?
The skills that I would like to learn was the skills of making sculpture. For now, I just know to use paper clay to do a sculpture and my techniques aren't so mature. Therefore, I learn from some designer or people who are good in doing it. I think I could find some videos online, so I could learn some skills from them.
