Discussion 1 (Week 3)

This week, we start to discuss about the project. This is a group project and we need to create 5 different designs for it. Each group has 4 members, Chloe and I are in the same group(same semester). There are another two members who are from semester 3 are in the same group with us. They are Florence and Sudarvili.

Last week, we did some research about the background of organisations(DiGi & AWAM). Therefore, we decided to think some ideas for the project, and we will have a discussion on Sunday. Unfortunately, just me and Chloe attend to the discussion but we still try our best to think some ideas for the project.

What we discuss about?

We would like to carry out a campaign which is about Covid-19. Since now we are under MCO, and we cannot got out for gathering so me and Chloe want to make use of social media to create some online advertisement. Digi is a telecommunication industry, they provide internet service. If we make use of social media and online advertisement, we can relate our ideas/designs to DiGi industry. The topic for our advertisement will be focus on female issue, such as domestic violence. Because of MCO, there are many women have to stay at home and the possibility of domestic violence will increase. This is why we want to relate our campaign to these two organisation and MCO/Covid-19. Not only that, we also want to create a video as another online advertisement. We find out that DiGi has a series of video which is called Yellow Heart, and we think it is suitable for this project as well. The topic of the video maybe is about domestic violence OR workplace bullying. We also think about taking photo and post it on social media to create awareness. Moreover, we can draw some illustrations to show the problems which women are facing nowadays, and we can post it on social media as well.
