Tutorial (Week 13 a)

After the tutorial, I try to edit my photo with colour, but I find out that, the feelings which convey through the photos will change when I edit them into yellow colour. Therefore, I try to find more information about colour psychology, and I find out that black colour can convey a feeling of seriousness and also unhappiness. I think black colour is more suitable for my topic, so I continue using back and white colour in my photonovel.

• This power color can convey feelings of mystery and seriousness. 

• It is also considered elegant and has a thinning effect.

• Black absorbs all light in the color spectrum.

• Black is often used as a symbol of menace or evil, but it's also popular as an indicator of power. It's used to represent treacherous characters such as Dracula and is often associated with witchcraft.

• Black is associated with death and mourning in many cultures. It's also associated with unhappiness, sexuality, formality, and sophistication.

• In ancient Egypt, black represented life and rebirth.

• Black is often used in fashion because of its slimming quality.

• Consider how black is used in language: Black Death, blackout, black cat, blacklist, black market, black tie, black belt.

To make the spaces between the photos can be consistent, I try to do a layout without photos and use some shape to maintain the distance between the photos, like this:
